The “PerCorsi” Local Action Group is the implementing body of the EU LEADER Initiative including the Alto Basento – Camastra – Alto Sauro – Marmo Platano – Melandro – Vulture, a large area of the Basilicata Region sited in the South of Italy.
The organisation is the expression of a broad public/private partnership on behalf of which it intends to experiment a new management model of the territory, guaranteeing the necessary support for the local production system, local public bodies, promoters of new businesses and everyone local actors. Its strategic action plan in based on some important topics. The implementation of actions for promoting the use of renewable energies and the energy transition in rural areas is one of these. This goal helps the LAG in trying to achieve the overall objective of improving the quality of live of rural communities and supporting territories at risk of depopulation and desertification in preserving people, especially young people, letting they stay and strenghtening social cohesion
Finally, according to the local strategy for the Inner Area1 called “Marmo Platano”, the LAG intends to implement a participating model for finding all those actions for reducing inequalities and structural divides.
