The LivingSoiLL project, funded by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe program, supports the EU mission "A Soil Deal for Europe" by promoting sustainable soil management for permanent crops. The project aims to enhance soil health and ecosystem services through the establishment of five Living Labs in Portugal, France, Spain, Italy, and Poland. These labs will engage over 2,000 local stakeholders to co-create, implement, and test innovative (digital) solutions for vineyards, olive groves, chestnuts, hazelnuts, and apple orchards.

Key objectives: Reducing erosion, improving soil structure, minimizing the impact of fertilizers and pesticides, enhancing water storage, boosting soil biodiversity, and increasing overall resilience.
By fostering collaboration and innovation, LivingSoiLL aims to combat soil degradation and ensure a sustainable future for European agriculture.

BlueMissionMed

Lighthouse coordinating and supporting the innovation ecosystem for a Healthy, Pollution free Mediterranean Sea

The BlueMissionMed Coordination and Support Action (CSA) designs, structures and supports a multi-actor ecosystem able to offer to all Mediterranean countries, regions and stakeholders the knowledge and tools to address the Mission “Restore Our Oceans and Waters by 2030” objective 2 “Prevent and eliminate pollution of our ocean, seas and waters”.

SEACURE

Nutrient pollution resulting from agricultural practices and inadequate wastewater treatment is severely impacting water quality, soil health, and biodiversity across the Mediterranean Sea basin. The SEACURE project aims to address this pressing issue through a holistic, land-river-sea approach aimed at the systemic prevention, reduction, and remediation of nutrient pollution in the Mediterranean. The project will focus on six regions in Spain, Italy, and Greece to demonstrate and validate innovative solutions for sustainable land practices, enhanced wastewater treatment, and nature restoration, while also acting on governance levers to scale up effective strategies at the regional level and replicate them across the Mediterranean and other nutrient-affected basins.
