Path4Med at the World Olive Oil Exhibition 2026
9 March 2026On 29 January, the BIOEAST Thematic Working Group on Freshwater-Based Bioeconomy, a partner of the Path4Med project, organised a Policy Expert Discussion focused on the strategic role of water resources within European bioeconomy policies.
The meeting brought together experts, researchers and stakeholders to discuss the importance of strengthening integrated approaches linking water management, soil health and climate action. These elements are increasingly recognised as essential for addressing environmental challenges and ensuring more sustainable and resilient agri-food systems.
During the event, the Path4Med project was also presented, highlighting its contribution to the development of innovative solutions to improve the management of natural resources in Mediterranean agro-hydrological systems.
The dialogue promoted by BIOEAST also emphasised the need to strengthen cooperation between research, innovation and public policies, fostering synergies between macro-regional initiatives and European projects. In this context, Path4Med represents a concrete example of how collaboration among international partners can support the development of integrated solutions for the sustainable management of natural resources.
